Ground Rules for my blogs

Now that the intention to write is clear, one clarity that comes along is that my writings could be a bit meandering – they would be about nothing in particular, and hence could appeal, or repel, or (at times) do nothing. These musings would sometimes cut through the ordinariness of your surroundings, but could also breeze through unnoticed. Though I would wish for the former.
If you had read my Why blogging blog, I had highlighted a few words – IIT, writing, reading, movie, books, jobs, IIM, friends. I hope the trickle that I had talked about then would turn into a downpour under above mentioned categories. I’ve expectations from a few like music and poetry as well, but largely it would be about life, (unsolicited) advices, observations, and God willing – sarcasm; for people with a sarcastic streak in them are the most interesting and under rated people around.
I might share in between a few things that I wrote over the years. Unfortunately, I’m a bad record keeper, so I would post whatever I could get hold of.
I hope to never share my travel diaries with you, not that they would be about sea resorts, jet skis, charter planes, and such banalities to make you feel squeamish, but because generally I would like to avoid erring on the side of vanity. And I would love if you could occasionally kick me on my back (not literally, but through feedbacks/comments/ emails/public outburst/burning my effigies) for getting into that territory. For everything else, I would like you to stop at the email level. A few garlands could be in order.
Last, I wouldn’t share what is hidden deep inside, my insecurities, my fears. I wish one day I could bear myself out, but let’s see – how it pans out.
Sahir famously wrote
Badly translated into:
Tomorrow, in this world, there would come much better speakers (read artists)
Better than me they would speak and would get even better audience
If somebody considers remembering me tomorrow, why should anybody even bother
The world besotted with me, why should it waste its time
Well, I wish, I could say it someday.
Nice 👍
